Som Distilleries and Breweries Limited has made a breakthrough in the Indian beer market by launching Woodpecker Premium Beer, India’s first beer with a twist cap. This new design eliminates the need for a bottle opener, offering beer lovers a hassle-free drinking experience.
Woodpecker Premium Beer will debut in Karnataka, one of the company’s fastest-growing markets. It comes in two variants—Woodpecker Glide, a mild beer, and Woodpecker Crest, a stronger option. Both are crafted using a blend of imported barley and Indian wheat malts, creating a unique cross-malt beer.
With a brewing process that takes 30 days, Woodpecker is focused on delivering consistency and rich flavor. The twist cap, available in vibrant yellow for Glide and sleek black for Crest, adds convenience and style for consumers. The company also uses direct print technology on bottles to enhance sustainability.
