After a hiatus of more than four years, HBO’s acclaimed drama Euphoria is officially returning. Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2026, marking the show’s first new episodes since Season 2 concluded in February 2022. The extended gap followed several production delays tied to cast scheduling conflicts, creator Sam Levinson’s work on other projects, and industry-wide strikes. Filming ultimately began in February 2025 and wrapped in November 2025, clearing the way for the long-anticipated comeback. The new season will debut on HBO and stream simultaneously on Max, with earlier seasons already available on the platform and through subscription bundles or purchase options on services such as Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+.
Season 3 introduces a major narrative shift through a five-year time jump that moves the story beyond high school and into young adulthood. The focus expands to life outside the structure of school, exploring addiction, relationships, and personal responsibility with higher emotional and practical stakes. According to information released alongside the official trailer and HBO announcements, the season leans into a darker, more mature tone with thriller and noir elements while preserving the show’s visual style and emotional intensity. The new chapter follows the characters as they navigate careers, marriages, and unresolved consequences from their past, setting the stage for eight episodes centered on growth, survival, and transition.

The late Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, will not appear following his passing in July 2023. Plot details released by HBO outline intersecting adult storylines involving career ambition, unstable relationships, and lingering consequences from earlier seasons.
